Welcome to the AI and Advanced Technologies in education Special Interest Group (AIDT SIG).

As a Chair of this SIG, I am honored to bring together educators, researchers, technologists and specialists who are passionate about shaping the future of education globally through innovation, creativity and growth mindset.

Our group is meant to explore the evolving landscape of AI and advanced technologies, provide teachers with collaborative learning opportunities through regular meetings, conferences, webinars, panel discussions and professional development events for teaching and learning English globally.

Some of the expected outcomes are the impactful ethical and responsible use of AI & AT.

We look forward to growing this vibrant community where knowledge is shared, ideas discussed and projects are co-created.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to empower educators around the world to implement AI and advanced technologies in the classroom and establish partnerships with stakeholders exploring, understanding and implementing these technologies and sharing success stories, challenges and areas of improvement for a more inclusive, innovative and diverse educational contexts.

Objectives

Our objectives are to:

To provide a collaborative framework for educators and stakeholders interested in AI and AT.
To share best practices, research and case studies at online and in-person events (webinars, podcasts, panel discussions, conferences, courses etc…)
To promote digital literacy and ethical use of AI in the classroom
To advocate for an inclusive and responsible use of AI in research and teaching English
To establish partnerships with TESOL affiliates for the best common interest of all to promote AI and technologies use.
To create networking spaces through podcasts, career coaching events etc…
